BASICS OF HYDROSEEDING:

Hydroseeding is a technique of mixing seed, a fiber mulch, some fertilizer, and possibly a tacking agent together in a tank of water, and then spraying this mixture onto a prepared seedbed, through a large hose and nozzle. This technique of installation lawns is quickly becoming the preferred method due to it’s many benefits.

The benefits to hydroseeding are:

costs much less than sod
can be completed in short period of time
seed mix can be tailored to your specific needs
better survival rate than seed or straw
prevents soil erosion

The best time of year to hydroseed your property is late August to early fall, because the weather conditions make great growing conditions.
